Post surgery

Been 2 weeks today since I had surgery. I'm still using the nasal wash, 4 times a day.

Is it normal that I still get an orangy/red liquid seep from my nose on and off during the day?

I presumed it was blood from the wound they made to get at the tumour, but expected it to have healed by now.

Hi Karl, I think the norm would be 3 to 5 days, my own lasted slightly longer and I queried this with Surgeon. To be on the safe side I think you should do the same as 2weeks does seem quite long.

Yes definitely worth checking with the Endo team or surgeon. I did the nasal wash for a full 6 weeks and did have the odd nosebleed during that period - I had a lot of rubbish coming out of my nose, my nasal passages were quite annoyed by the whole episode!

My nose is definitely not a happy hooter at the moment. It seems to be after every time I do th nasal rinse that I get the discharge, probably for an hour or so.
