Hi Gary
Sorry I can't answer from direct experience but a couple of questions/suggestions.
Firstly, when did you last see your endocrinologist? Typically they lead on your health as they have a better grasp of what's happening rather than the other specialists or your GP. If you haven't got an appointment contact their secretary, explain your concern and ask for a quick consultation, probably by phone at the moment.
Secondly, depending on the BP tablets you may find slower heart rate as a side-effect, for example beta-blockers often have this effect. Are you being monitored by your GP/Practice Nurse for this or is it a cardiologist? Try asking the relevant people for a change if you find this worrying, an alternative medication may remove the rate effect, although I think they don't worry much unless you drop to below about 30 bpm.
Take care
Tim
