Thanks everyone - unfortunately not going so well - we've got to cycle 5 of 6 without getting pregnant, which has been tough :(

Now waiting again to find out if it has worked this time - so please keep your fingers crossed!!

If not specialist has suggested we save cycle No. 6 for prior to IVF treatment as she thinks that although we qualify for IVF the standard protocol will not be enough for me to develop enough follicles - anyone heard of this/had IVF treatment after ovulation induction or had longer drug protocol to get follicles??

Just hoping that we get pregnant this time.

Xx J

Hi mac

Not an answer per se as I had craniopharyngioma and still not pregnant after 5 cycles, 3 of which worked but we didn't get pg :(

Now we are waiting to see if we will get funding for ivf as I will need 4-6 weeks of drugs rather than the 2 the nhs normally allows although I won't need the first drug as there's nothing to be stopped!

I have heard online from acros who have got pregnant though so maybe they will reply too?

Hi everyone

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone for replying.

After a bumpy time we had three tries at induction with negative results and two cancelled cycles.

However we have just had our first ivf cycle and I am now 7 weeks pregnant. As its ivf we had an early scan yesterday and saw the heartbeat!

So pleased, although of course worried now about staying pregnant.

I have seen my endo today and told them which set them all in a bit of a panic! So thought I would ask how others got on with pan hypo pregnancy?

Hi everyone

Now 19 weeks and so far so good. Off all ivf drugs and GH, just steroids, ddavp and thyroxine now.

Have 20 week scan in a week and a half!

Have also felt movement (I think!)

Endo calming down now I've seen obstetrics! Although they don't seem to have a clue either : you might go into labour naturally, or you might need inducing but we're not sure this will work for you so it might be a c section!

Even started a (very little) bit of shopping.

That's fantastic Jemima. Thanks for your updates. I have found them so interesting. I'm not looking to get pregnant in the near future but it's so handy to know what lies ahead.

Thanks again. And congratulations xxx

Thanks Coco , glad to be of any help, if you have any questions just let me know. One thing I would say is it has taken us five and a half years to get this far and the younger you are with these treatments the greater your chances.

As I'm typing I can feel baby move. :D

20 week scan was great got to see so much.

Next one in November as they want to keep an eye on us -normally only get 12 and 20 week scans.

We are probably having a boy but not sure as 'he' had 'his' ankles crossed! And then umbilical cord looped right in front so sonographer couldn't be 100%.

Maybe next time.

Another twist along the way...

Saw my endo the other day and all ok, but I asked why I had put so little weight on (only around 3 pounds and am now 25 weeks). He said that as I don't produce prolactin I won't put on so much weight. This seems to be related to not being able to breast feed so not putting weight on there or laying down fat to support breast feeding.

He was not at all worried and it wasn't that unexpected from what I have heard from other people as regards breast feeding.

On the positive side I've never had such great legs and bingo wings have gone too! Also having dieted for the better part of my adult life (most people on steroids will know what I mean) it is now anti dieting - literally eating as much as I can to sustain my weight. And yes I might be enjoying this just a little bit :)

Hope you are all ok

Xx J
