Hi ppl

Do any of you suffer from insulin resistance and could anyone tell me what it exactly is? Is it part of hypoptuitarism?

Hi

I'm a bit worried at the moment, I've been in hospital 4 times recently on a lot of antibiotics and high steroids. I've been back on normal steroids for 4 weeks now, but I've started with like red marks that look like stretch marks appearing all over the front of my body? Does anyone know why?

hi

as i understand it, insulin resistance is where the cells of the body are not able to respond properly to the insulin in the blood. so even if the body is able to make enough insulin the cells cannot use it to be able to absorb and metabolise glucose, which they need to be able to do to function.

sorry: no idea about the stretch marks.

best wishes
