Sharps Box

Does anyone have any problems disposing of their sharps box

I live in Knowsley in Liverpool and I have asked my:
Pharmacy
Doctor
Hospital
and even the coucil

and no one is willing to taking it

I have just had a new one delivered, so that isn't a problem

Thanks for your time

that's wierd.
which of them gave it to you in the first place?
surely they should take it?
i've not had to use my sharps box yet (it's for hydrocortisone injection) but would be interested to know how this is resolved.

Plum

It was the hospital who gave me the sharps box and they have disposed of it in the past, but for some reason they don't want me to bring it in.

The hospital said they would get in touch with a company but no one has phoned back yet.

Something that was so straight forward, now seems to be a problem

Kind Regards Ian

I ring Environmental Health (Council) and they deliver and take away the old one(s).

I get mine picked up by Alcura formerly Central Homecare http://www.alcura-health.co.uk/ . I order my needles from them too. Usually get them the day afte rordering. I use a Saizen injection device which is like a mini computer and even get my batteries from Alcura
