Growth Hormone

I have been feeling unwell for a while - very tired, lack of stamina, anxious for no apparent reason. It has been suggested this could be low growth hormone. I am curious to know whether, because my macro-prolactinoma was diagnosed back in 1997, growth hormone deficiency wasn't tested for back then. Also, due to the damage caused by the tumour my brain herniated through the skull base. Could this have caused further damage to the pituitary gland.
Have an appointment in two weeks to see an endocrinologist but want to have as much information as possible prior to that meeting. Thanks Karl

Hi Karl
our GH fact sheet has information, plus a QoL page at end for checking scores of symptoms - here for free download https://pituitary.org.uk/information/publications/general/growth-hormone-factsheet/
other hormones could be checked if not already - thyroid, testosterone and cortisol

Thanks for your reply. I am hoping to get some answers at my upcoming appointment - my first one in ten years. Knowing the Pituitary Foundation is there is a great support.

I often describe GH deficiency as a pair of scales (those old fashioned kitchen weighing ones) that are obviously not balancing - definitely down on one side
good luck
