Patients/carers views in Wales

Postby Pat » Tue Jul 30, 2013 2:49 pm

All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre
Are looking for patients/carers views for the following medicine and disease/condition:

Pegvisomant (Somavert®) for the treatment of patients with acromegaly who have had an inadequate response to surgery and/or radiation therapy and in whom an appropriate medical treatment with somatostatin analogues did not normalise insulin-like growth factor (IGF)-1 concentrations or was not tolerated

We welcome any information that might help us understand how these health problems affect patients and/or carers. Patients/carers are often able to provide additional insight which is invaluable in considering whether a medicine should be available to patients within NHS Wales.

Further information is available in the patient/ carer section of the AWMSG website www.awmsg.org. We would be extremely grateful if you could respond at your earliest convenience and thank you in anticipation.
