There is a meeting on the 21st of May run by Cahisus that may be of interest to hypopituitary patients titled “getting the replacement dose of glucocorticoid right”. The meeting is held at the Institute of Child Health, Guildford Street, London, on Saturday 21 May 2016, starting at 12:45 pm. It is for Hypopituitary adult patients as well as children.

There will be multiple speakers, including a talk by our Solent Local Support Group Volunteer Area-Coordinator Gail Weingartner. Gail felt the methodology being talked about changed her life enormously. A barrister, Catherine Casserley, will be speaking about disability and discrimination and she will be available to answer questions. Professor Peter Hindmarsh, Professor of Paediatric Endocrinology at UCL, will be explaining how hydrocortisone works in the body as cortisol and about avoiding side-effects.

There is no charge to attend this meeting but places are limited so early booking is recommended. There is a schedule for the meeting and full information available on Cahisus’ website:

Bookings can be made either to Gail Weingartner at or to
